Frequently asked questions
No referral is needed to book an appointment. GP referrals are welcome if you are planning to access Medicare rebates. This matches the speech page wording and fits the OT funding information currently listed on the website.
We support both adults and children. Our occupational therapists work with a range of needs including daily living skills, motor skills, regulation, sensory needs, feeding, community access, and independence.
Your first appointment is about getting to know you or your child, understanding your concerns, and identifying the goals that matter most day to day. Assessment may include observation, discussion, and formal assessment where appropriate. This reflects the current OT page’s emphasis on functional support and the newer speech-page structure you are mirroring.

The current OT page refers to assessment and provision of assistive technology, along with broader functional support, so this is consistent in scope, but you should only keep “reports and letters” if the clinic does offer them routinely.
Yes. Telehealth is available where appropriate. Both the current OT page and the newer speech page reference telehealth availability.
We welcome NDIS clients and can accept plan managed or self managed participants. Private health rebates may be available depending on your cover, and Medicare rebates may be available with a GP referral under a Chronic Disease Management Plan.
